Field Manager
Location: Greater Cincinnati Area

Job Summary
The Field Manager oversees on-site construction operations, managing the day-to-day progress of projects. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing schedules, and acting as a liaison between the construction team and project stakeholders. The manager ensures quality control and facilitates efficient communication between the field crew, project managers, and other key personnel.
Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed according to plans, schedules, and budget.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and legal requirements.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure project alignment.

Familiarity with building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations pertinent to the specific regions in which the company operates.

Team Leadership:

Manage and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other on-site personnel.

Assign tasks to site workers and ensure proper workflow.

Provide leadership and training to staff regarding safety, best practices, and quality control.

Scheduling and Coordination:

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all phases of construction are completed on time.

Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and materials for the project.

Identify and mitigate potential delays and risks to the project timeline.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce site safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with OSHA and other safety standards.

Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.

Address and resolve safety issues promptly to prevent accidents.

Quality Control:

Monitor all work to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects and implement corrective actions.

Cost Control:

Assist with project budgeting and cost management.

Track and report project expenditures, ensuring work is completed within budget.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, issues, and project progress.

Prepare reports for upper management and clients detailing project milestones, potential risks, and any delays.

Handle documentation for inspections, permits, and other regulatory compliance paperwork.

Problem-Solving and Decision Making:

Resolve on-site conflicts and issues efficiently.

Make quick, informed decisions to keep the project on track and ensure a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or field supervision.

Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and scheduling tools.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

Problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
